This casting kit is ideal for any new or expecting parents. The kit; including step-by-step illustrated instructions, a 12" x 15" inches, natural-wood shadowbox frame, glass front and matting and hanging hardware; allows parents to easily create a 3-D plaster replica of their child¿s tiny hands or feet. There are no messy gels or painting or baking involved as the kit requires the user to simply flatten, press, pour and mount. A non-stick surface plastic sheet, modeling dough, special molding tray, glittery plaster and glue are all included. The kit does require a rolling pin one cup water to complete the project. Best of all, this kit allows the user to start over as many times as necessary if you are not satisfied with the impressions or if your baby makes a sudden move. All components in the kit have been carefully designed and chosen to assure child safety. Some assembly is required. Four matting colors (white, pink, yellow & navy blue) included for display behind glass to match with baby's room decor or gender. Museum quality look for display on wall. Minimal assembly required. |

This is an excellent product which has been thought out and crafted to perfection. I'm not a mother yet, but I have given this item as a gift to many new moms either as a baby shower gift or a welcome baby gift. Must Have Product! |

I rarely do this, but after getting this product I just had to write and let others know how wonderful babysteps is. I am so happy with the way the finished product looks. It is a must have memento for new parents. Very easy to use and it looks like I went to a professional shop to have it done. Feels even better knowing you kinda did it yourself. Great fun and a absolutely a 5 star product! BTW: A small detail that you can not tell till you are done is that the plaster has a very light glitter effect. I have it on my wall with light angled toward it, and I was suprised to see the nice touch that was added. nicely done!!! |

Babysteps, great gift, great idea! |
This is the best product out there for casting your baby's hands & feet. It is safe and easy to use, no fuss no mess. It only takes a few minutes to do. I have used this item in the past, bought it for my friends and family who were having babies. Now it's my turn, I already placed an order for two and it's on my baby shower wish list. It's a great gift for baby showers, christenings, baby welcome parties etc. All new moms will appreciate this unique produc. It hangs on the wall like artwork and a great keepsake for your child. I would recommend this product to all new moms, and second or third time moms. You will love it!

Don't waste your money... |
After reading the other review I decided to purchase this product, instead of the Babyprints by Pearhead. What a mistake!
I can only conclude the previous review was posted by the owner or employee of the company.
Difficult to use, poor instructions, and flimsy materials. I eventually got a decent assembled frame, but I didn't like the "look". Maybe I'm too picky.
I ended purchasing the Pearhead product; which I like. |

A must have |

The finished product looks like hours were spent making it when in fact, I spent less than 15 minutes putting it together. The 3D effect and the beautiful frame give it a rich artistic effect. This is the best thing you'll ever buy as a lasting souvenir of your newborn or infant. It looks beautiful hanging in my bedroom hallway, and I get so many compliments on it from every person that comes over. Order it, you'll be so happy you did. |
